Robyn Griggs, best known for her roles in soap operas Another world and A life to livedied at the age of 49.

His death was announced on his Facebook page on Saturday. The actress previously revealed her diagnosis of cervical cancer, saying that last month she had four new tumors.

Griggs played Stephanie Hobart on A life to live, beginning in April 1991 and lasting six episodes. From there she moved to Another world, where she played Maggie Cory for two years.

Born April 30, 1973, in Tunkhannock, Pennsylvania, she first appeared in major media on Nickelodeon’s K-rated, which featured young people reviewing films. It operated from 1986 to 1988.

She later appeared in the films Serious injuries (2003), dead clowns (2004), The absence of light (2006) and Hellweek (2010).

Griggs was diagnosed with cancer in 2020. She was in hospice care at the time of her death. She used the name Robyn Griggs Wiley for the past few years.

No information on survivors or memorial plans was immediately available.
